OrgSync has native iOS, Android phone, and tablet apps available for download. The app is intended for all OrgSync users with an iPhone or Android device. Use the app to browse events, search for organizations, keep up with news, and much more. Visit your device’s app store and search for OrgSync to locate and download the app.
Opening the app for the first time will prompt you to search for your campus and sign in. You should use the same login credentials that you would use on the desktop version of OrgSync. After you sign in, you’ll be presented the community feed which aggregates content from the organizations you belong to and also community wide content shared by your campus. If you see something you’re interested in, tap it to view more information!
At this point, the interface and functions available on the iOS and Android apps begin to diverge. For this reason, the rest of the article will be divided into two sections. Choose which section to read based on the device you’re using – iOS or Android.
On the iOS app, the top bar is your primary means of navigation. Start by clicking the menu icon in the top left of your screen. This is your membership list and it also provides a method to search for other organizations in your community. At the bottom of the dropdown, you’ll find a feedback feature and the ability to sign out. If you have any feedback, problems, or ideas that would make the mobile app better, let us know! We review each piece of feedback that we receive.
Click on one of your memberships to jump into the portal. By default, this will display the portal’s feed which aggregates recently posted content. Click on the name of the org along the top bar to jump between the various tools like events, forms, photos, etc. Note: not all of the tools available in the desktop version of OrgSync are available in the mobile app.
The middle of the top bar displays your community’s name. Click this to view some community wide features like the campus organization list, upcoming events, and more.
On the right side of the top bar, you should see your profile picture. Click this and you’ll see upcoming events on your personal calendar. This calendar is populated by events created in the portals you’re a part of as well as events you’ve RSVP’d to. You can also click on your name to view your profile. The resulting page allows you to edit your profile and reset your password, if needed.
On the Android app, you’re provided an additional set of options not available in the iOS app. Above the feed, you can toggle between the community home, calendar, organizations, bookmarks, and featured organizations.
The menu icon in the top left of your screen is your primary means of navigation. This menu includes everything from your list of memberships to your user profile to additional features like our feedback form and a sign out option.
Click on one of your memberships to jump into the portal. By default, this displays the portal feed which aggregates recently posted content. The portal’s various tools will be listed right below the organization’s name. Click More to see the rest of the tools available to you. After you jump into a tool, click the back button in the top left of your screen to get back to the portal home. Note: not all of the tools available in the desktop version of OrgSync are available in the mobile app.
Back on the primary menu, below your memberships you’ll see My Profile listed next to your profile picture. Click this to view your profile. In the top right of your screen, you’ll see three dots that provide the ability to edit your profile or reset your password.
