Authorize.net Setup Guide

Authorize.net integration allows you to accept payments through the various tools available in your OrgSync portal. Follow these instructions to successfully enable this integration.

Step 1: Gather Authorize.net API Login ID and Transaction Key

After you establish an Authorize.net account, retrieve this information from the Authorize.net merchant interface.

  1. On the left-hand menu, click Settings under the Account section.
  2. Under Security Setting > General Security Settings, click on API Login ID & Transaction Key.
  3. Follow the instructions provided. Be aware that this will reset your Transaction Key.

Step 2: Setup the MD5-Hash Security Measure

  1. On the left-hand menu, click Settings under the Account section.
  2. Under Security Setting > General Security Settings, select MD-5 Hash.
  3. Enter some random string and make a note of it.

Step 3: Clear out Response/Receipt URLs

  1. On the lefthand-menu, click Settings under the Account section.
  2. Under Transaction Format Settings > Transaction Response Settings > click on Receipt/Response URLs.
  3. Ensure there are no default URLs defined. Values here will cause transactions in your portal to error out.

Step 4: Remove Phone Number as a Required Field

  1. On the lefthand-menu, click Settings under the Account section.
  2. Under Payment Form choose Form Fields.
  3. Uncheck the required checkbox for bill to phone number.

Step 5: Configure OrgSync to Use Your New Authorize.net MD5

  1. In your OrgSync portal, hover over More along your portal toolbar and select the Treasury option.
  2. Click Manage Payments.
  3. Click Payment Gateway Setup.
  4. Choose Other Payment Gateway.
  5. Under Gateway Name, select Authorize.net.
  6. Enter the information you made note of above, namely API Login ID, Transaction Key, & MD5-Hash Value.
  7. Click Update.

After you've added your Authorize.net account in OrgSync, you can begin using the integration by adding payment elements to forms, issuing invoices, and more. These items will link directly to the Authorize.net account that you've established.
