Track Your Own Involvement

OrgSync provides two methods for entering your involvement. Each of these methods are described in detail below.

Through a Portal

The first method is through the Involvement tool within a portal. Choose this tool from your portal's toolbar. Click here if you do not see Involvement as an option. After accessing this tool, you're provided a list of the participation assigned to you in this portal. In the top right, select Add Involvement

Enter all of the required fields on this form and include your proof of participation, if you have any. If you create a timesheet entry in a service partner portal, you can determine if the participation was for service or not. Use the radio buttons to toggle between Service Participation and Event Participation.

After submitting the entry, the administrators of your portal will be notified and prompted to approve or deny your request. Depending on your community’s settings, the reference you enter may also be able to approve your request via email. You will be notified once a decision is made.

Through Your Personal Involvement Page

The second method is through your personal involvement page. To access this page, click on your name in the top right of the screen and select Involvement. Next, choose Add Involvement Entry in the top right of the page. On the resulting pop-up, determine which type of entry you would like to enter. See the screenshot below for the available options.

Note: Service participation is an option only available to users in communities with a service umbrella. This feature allows you to tie participation to a service partner that exists within your OrgSync community.

After deciding the type of entry, complete the involvement entry form. Be sure to select the appropriate organization or service partner from the top dropdown to ensure your entry populates that portal. If you do not select a portal, it is assumed the organization does not exist on OrgSync.

After submitting the entry, you will be notified when it has been approved or denied. The approver could be a portal administrator, community administrator, or the reference you provided depending on the type of entry you entered and your community’s settings.
