OrgSync supports integration with CAS, SAML, Shibboleth, and LDAP login processes. If a user logs in to OrgSync through one of these systems, their account is authenticated. If an authenticated user completes a form, they are providing a digital signature (a more secure form of an electronic signature). A digital signature ensures authenticity because it takes a specific form and an authenticated user and binds the two together.
Are digital signatures in OrgSync valid and enforceable?
Yes - OrgSync fully complies with the requirements of the ESIGN Act. This act "confirmed that electronic signatures have the same legal standing as pen-and-paper signatures, and a contract or record of transactions may not be denied legal effect or ruled unenforceable simply because it is in electronic form."
